This is a listing of the paid positions that are periodically available related to the Outdoor Programs Office and Hoofers.
In addition to the following jobs, dozens of Hoofer volunteer leadership positions are available on Hoofer club governing boards. These positions develop leadership skills for a lifetime and provide great resume material. Participate in Hoofer club activities and just ask how you can become a club leader!
Outdoor Programs Office Student Staff
Outdoor Programs Office Student Staff positions become available as students graduate or take off for other wonderful life pursuits. Applications, consisting of a cover letter, resume, and avaiability schedule are traditionally reviewed about one month before the start of each semester and the start of summer, or when needed. Contact the office at these times.
Hoofer Equestrian Center
The Hoofer Equestrian Center has both student staff and limited term employees who work at the Equestrian Part-time barn employment provides care to the horses along with other related work including feeding, watering, turning out horses, cleaning stalls, veterinary care assistance, stacking hay, mowing, and other facility maintenance.
Experienced Riders can become Riding Instructors Teaching English beginning through intermediate/advanced horseback riding. Instruction includes balanced seat, dressage and jumping on club-owned horses at the Hoofer Equestrian Center in Belleville, WI
Hoofer Ski and Snowboard Instructors
The Hoofer Ski and Snowboard Club instructors are not paid; rather, they need to be Hoofer Ski and Snowboard Club members and then receive free transportation and lift ticket for weekdays and weekends when they teach. Hoofer Sailing & Windsurfing Instructor
Summer and fall sailing and windsurfing instructors are selected each spring for the season and as needed. Click here for further information
Hoofer Sailing Shop Staff
The Hoofer Sailing Club shop staff employs students to complete duties that may include boat repair, fiberglassing, pier work, engine maintenance and much more. Work is throughout the year.
